Dana Frakes, MS, LCMHC
Dana has been working in the field of behavioral health in the Charlotte area since 2000. Her early career was spent working with at-risk youth in the juvenile justice, behavioral health, and foster care systems. Dana began working in behavioral health managed care in 2008 and has worked in four behavioral health Managed Care Organizations across the state of North Carolina, performing a variety of functions including Utilization Management, Care Coordination, Tailored Care Management, and Quality Assurance and Improvement. Dana has spent the last 15 years working directly with behavioral health service providers to improve their quality processes and maintain compliance. Dana has expertise in Quality Management and Regulatory Compliance, and has a vast knowledge of the rules and regulations governing Medicaid and behavioral health services in the state of North Carolina and at the federal level.
Heather Drum, LCMHCS, LCAS
Heather Drum has over 20 years experience working in the field of behavioral healthcare, both in the private and public organization sectors. She began as a therapist and transitioned to her role as a Compliance Manager in 2010. Her diverse work experience includes developing quality assurance and improvement strategies, audit processes for accreditation/regulation guidelines, key process indicators (KPI), Healthcare Effectiveness Data Information System (HEDIS) measures, electronic health record (EHR) processes, project planning, training, policy and procedures, & management of NC Department of Health Services Regulation applications and audits.
Heather spent over a decade representing local providers with the Mecklenburg County Provider’s Council and the Quality Assurance Committee.
